Leadership Qualifications

In the Bureau of Land Management, our leaders - from the Field Manager to the State Director to the Director - possess common competencies and skills that drive successful management of the organization.  The Office of Personnel Management divides these competencies into Executive Leadership Qualifications (ELQs):  Results Driven, Building Coalitions, Business Accumen, Leading Change, and Leading People.
