Partnerships With Our Communities
The people of the BLM are fiercly protective of the lands we manage and the communities we're a part of. We participate in events and associate with groups that have a lasting benefit on communities throughout the nation.
That same drive to participate and form a community exists within our agency, too. Employees across the country share thoughts and discuss the organization's mission, policies and culture on an internal BLM blog. Housed on our intranet, it provides employees with connectivity and small-town talk within a nationwide bureau.
In one blog discussion, employees responded to the following question: What BLM action, decision, project or program have you been involved in that you feel has been particularly successful and represents the best of BLM?
That discussion highlighted some incredibly successful programs and projects, and the way that teamwork and community involvement made them possible. Four programs in particular, highlighted by four employees, best represent the importance of the BLM's relationship with the public that it serves.
