Caves on the Conservation Trail

The Bureau of Land Management has just returned from the National Scout Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill, an army base near Fredericksburg, Virginia.

BLM was part of the Jamboree's "Conservation Trail".  At almost a mile long, the Trail offers a great chance to practice your conservation skills or learn about some of today's important conservation challenges.

BLM's cave exhibit gave scouts an idea of what cave environments are like, what kinds of science and resources are involved in cave management, and what skills and tools are necessary to visit caves safely.
