Shelley Smith and Richard Brook are archaeologists actively involved in the development of teaching materials for the Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management's Heritage Education Program. Mary Tisdale is the chief of the BLM's Office of Environmental Education and Volunteers. Shelly Fischman, who completed all artwork and associated research, is a BLM illustrator.
