Hands on the Land: Featured Sites

Glennallen Field Office

Young students examine their environment for evidence of "Changing Seasons" during this Hands on the Land program, a BLM partnership with Wrangell Institute for Science and Environment and the Glennallen (Alaska) Field Office.

Students identify the fall stage of the Sitka Rose and learn how the fruit of the rose provides an important source of food and vitamin C for animals and humans throughout the winter.
