The BLM piloted its national AiR program in 2012 at Canyons of the Ancients National Monument in southwest Colorado.  For 2014 -2015, participating sites include:

Alaska's White Mountains Artist-in-Residence will stay in the Wickersham Trail Shelter, which includes two bunkds, a woodstove, propane cookstove and lantern, cooking counter, and picture window.
