Advisory Board Minutes and Recommendations

The Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board was established to assist and advise the Secretary of the Interior, through the Director of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and the Secretary of Agriculture, through the Chief of the Forest Service, on wild horse and burro policy formulation and oversight of the Wild Horse and Burro (WH&B) Program administered under the provisions of the Wild Free-Roaming Horse and Burro Act (Public Law 92-195).

At each meeting, the Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board makes recommendations to the BLM for consideration. Following are current recommendations made to the BLM by the Advisory Board.
