Here are three ways you can help Wild Horses and Burros through your donations.
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) established a national donation fund to help those animals that the BLM has removed from Western rangelands due to extreme drought and wildland fires. Donations may be submitted to: 4 Mustangs and Burros, Bureau of Land Management, P.O. Box 12000, Reno, Nevada 89520-0006, Attn: Business Manager. Please make your checks payable to
"4 Mustangs and Burros".
The Save the Mustangs Fund, established in May 2005 by Ford Motor Company in collaboration with the BLM and Take Pride in America, builds public awareness and support for wild horses and burros.
The Save the Mustangs Fund is designed to allow all horse lovers, young and old, to be involved with these living legends - America's Mustangs. The goal of the Fund is to raise public awareness of the urgency of the wild horse and burro issue and to find good homes for wild horses and burros. Through the Take Pride in America Act, this National Partnership Program allows for tax free donations to encourage citizen stewardship by instilling a sense of ownership and responsibility.
Donations may be submitted electronically to www.savethemustangs.org or sent to Bureau of Land Management (Save the Mustangs Fund), 1849 C Street, NW, Mail Stop 314 LS, Washington, D.C. 20240.
The Mustang Heritage Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to facilitating successful adoptions for America’s excess mustangs and burros. All donations are tax-deductible.
