National Wild Horse and Burro Tentative Gather Schedule July 5, 2011

Each year, the BLM gathers hundreds of wild horses and burros to protect land health. The excess animals are transported to BLM holding facilities where they are prepared for adoption through the agency's adoption program.

This table contains information about planned gathers for 2011. The information is preliminary and is subject to change at any time.  Final gather data are reflected in the Data page. For information on completed gathers in the current Fiscal Year, select this link.
