E-Gov for Planning and NEPA (ePlanning)

ePlanning Encourages Public Participation in the Land Use Planning Process

ePlanning brings the Land Use Planning (LUP) as well as the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process into your home or local library. With an Internet-connected computer, you can open and read land use planning and NEPA documents produced with ePlanning. You can search for issues such as recreation, wildlife, or energy. During the comment periods, you can easily submit your comments online! With ePlanning's comment features, you can tie your comment to particular text right out of the land use planning or NEPA document. It has never been easier to communicate your recommendations and preferences to public land managers.

ePlanning Features

ePlanning is an application for preparing, reviewing, and publishing BLM NEPA related work processes. One unique feature is the BLM NEPA Register and the BLM LUP Register. These registers are the gateway to the location of NEPA and LUP documents produced by the BLM using the ePlanning application. The registers will provide links to projects websites where you can read the prepared documents, review maps, search content, and write comments. ePlanning then supports with managing and tracking the comments received. These online comments are retained as part of the permanent record of the document as required by NARA. For more information, see Using ePlanning.
