The CSM is a database and automated tracking system which merges elements of the Compliance Assessment Safety Health Environment (CASHE) Program and the Bureau Safety Program and increases the efficiency of the both. For example, the CASHE audit fulfills the requirement for the Safety Program to perform an annual occupational safety and health inspection. When CASHE results are entered into CSM, the documentation needs both programs are met.

 

The CSM automates the writing of facility compliance findings and facilitates subsequent tracking and reporting of progress made. It is also designed to provide a link between recommended corrective actions and engineering support and funding needs required for implementation. The system will be beta tested in FY2008.
