U.S. DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIORBUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT
Rights-of-Way
Applying for Grants
Applying for Grants contains information for filing right-of-way (ROW) applications, and processing and monitoring fees.
What should I do before I file my application?
Before filing an application with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), we encourage you to make an appointment for a pre-application meeting with the appropriate personnel in the BLM Field office having jurisdiction over the lands you seek to use.
Go to the ROWs Program Contacts Page to view information for the ROWs Contact for each State Office and to view all contacts.
During the pre-application meeting, BLM can:
Identify potential routing and other constraint
Determine whether or not the lands are located within a designated or existing ROW corridor
Tentatively schedule the processing of your proposed application
Inform you of your financial obligations, such as processing and monitoring costs and rent
