Tenth Anniversary EventsIn 2010, the National Conservation Lands celebrated their tenth anniversary. The following links are to the national level events celebrating the anniversary. Secretary of Interior, Ken Salazar, and Director of the Bureau of Land Management, Bob Abbey, kicked off the NLCS' 10th Anniversary Celebrations with an Open House Event on March 24th. Legislation, and other LinksOmnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009: On March 30, 2009 President Barack Obama signed into law the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 (P.L.111-11). The Act Congressionally established the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) National Landscape Conservation System (NLCS).
