Tourism Strategy Sample Plan


Communities within individual states often develop cooperative strategies and marketing to maximize limited resources. One effective strategy often used is to define geographic zones within the respective state that share a common market theme, such as “Cowboy Country” or “Grand Canyon Country”, for example. Once a state is zoned, communities develop a package-attraction and advertise cooperatively – a strategy that intended to entice visitors to stay in particular areas for longer periods of time. 

The following in an outline of the basic components of a sample tourism plan. This outline can facilitate joint tourism plan discussions with community and tourism partners.
