Interpretation Program – A BLM Recreation national program. Learn how the BLM communicates with its audiences to forge emotional and intellectual connections between their interests and the inherent meanings in a resource. Leave No Trace – The Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics is an international nonprofit organization (and BLM Recreation partner) dedicated to promoting and inspiring responsible outdoor recreation through education, research and partnerships. Leave No Trace (LNT) builds awareness, appreciation and respect for our wildlands. The LNT program strives to educate all those who enjoy the outdoors about their recreational impacts as well as techniques to prevent and minimize such impacts. Stewardship & Outdoor Ethics Program – This BLM Recreation national program promotes and supports land stewardship and outdoor education. Learn how to recreate while simultaneously protecting natural landscapes. Tread Lightly! – Tread Lightly! is a nonprofit organization (and BLM Recreation partner) that provides educational materials, training courses, restoration opportunities, communication pieces, and a variety of tools to help arm recreationists with a set of outdoor ethics. Tread Lightly! offers specific ways to minimize impacts when four-wheeling, off-highway motorcycling, mountain biking, geocaching, riding an ATV, hunting with an ATV, snowmobiling, camping, fishing, boating, hunting, horseback riding, backcountry skiing, hiking, sand duning and using a personal watercraft.
