Socioeconomic Impacts in MontanaThe BLM's management of public lands in Montana supported more than 9,600 jobs in Fiscal Year 2010. Most of the jobs were related to energy, which resulted in an economic impact of about $1.1 billion. The overall BLM economic impact was about $1.5 billion.
