Socioeconomic Impacts in Alaska

The BLM's management of public lands in Alaska supported more than 990 jobs in Fiscal Year 2013.  Most of the jobs were related to oil and gas, which resulted in an economic impact of about $244 million.  The overall BLM economic impact was about $315 million.  This table provides employment and economic output by category.  Economic output data are in millions of dollars.
