Subject: Change 1 to Washington Office Instruction Memorandum No. 2009-041 (Euthanasia of Wild Horses and Burros for Reasons Related to Health, Handling and Acts of Mercy)
Program Area: Wild Horses and Burros
Purpose: The purpose of this Instruction Memorandum (IM) is to issue Change 1 to IM-2009-041. The Gather Summary Report (Attachment 2) included in the original IM is incorrect and should no longer be used by the field.
Policy/Action: The replacement Attachment 2 (Gather Summary Report) is attached to this IM.
Timeframe: This instruction memorandum is effective immediately.
Budget Impact: There is no budget impact associated with the change in the gather report format.
Background: A standard report format is needed to facilitate daily and post-gather reporting for the wild horse and burro program.
Manual/Handbook Sections Affected: The change does not affect any manuals or handbooks.
Coordination: The change was coordinated between the National Program Office (NPO) and WO260 staff and is needed to assure consistency in reporting.
