Subject:            Preparation and Submission of FY 2007 Annual Manager’s Report                               DD: 11/09/2007

 

Program Area: National Monuments, National Conservations Areas and similar designations

 

Purpose: This directive requeststhat State Directors compile and submit an Annual Manager’s Report for certain units of the National Landscape Conservation System (NLCS).

Policy/Action: Establishes the requirement that managers of National Conservation Area (NCA), National Monument (NM), and other congressionally designated NLCS units complete an Annual Manager’s Report for their unit for fiscal year 2007.

 

Time Frame: The Annual Manager’s Report should be completed by the unit manager and sent to the State Office NLCS lead and from there to the Division Chief of NCA/NMs, WO-171 by COB November 9, 2007.

 

Background: The Washington Office developed an Annual Manager’s Report format in FY 2006. This Instruction Memorandum (IM) updates the FY 2006 format for use in the FY 2007 Annual Manager’s Report. The report will be used to communicate all of the great things happening each year within National NMs/NCAs (and similar Congressional conservation designations that are part of the NLCS). The Washington Office (WO) will share this information with you, the headquarters office, state and field offices, and our national partners.

Budget Impact: This IM will have no impact on the allocation of resources and will have only a minimal impact on field and state offices.

Coordination: This IM was coordinated with WO250, WO360, and with most NCA/NMs.
