Purpose: This Instruction Memorandum (IM) establishes subject code 1537, Greening of the Government (General), for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Offices that want a general filing code for Greening of the Government. Policy/Action: Use this subject code to identify documents relating to Greening of the Government. Use it also for filing information (ex: letters, memoranda, forms or reports) pertaining to Greening of the Government in General Correspondence and similar files. The BLM Offices who want a more detailed coding may file them under the appropriate subject areas. Background: The Information Resources Management Policy and Records Group received a request from the New Mexico State Office to initiate a subject code for the creation, maintenance and disposition for documents relating to Greening of the Government.
