Subject: Freedom of Information Act Awareness Week
The 2013 Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Awareness Week is scheduled for the week of March 18-22, 2013. This bureau-wide event is open to everyone.
The purpose of FOIA Awareness week is to increase awareness of FOIA law, educate employees on the requirements of FOIA requests, and to communicate the importance of responding quickly to search inquiries. All employees are encouraged to take part in these activities. You may contact your local Center or State FOIA Specialist for more details regarding your office’s events by referring to the attached contact information list.
