Subject:           Nominations for the Bureau of Land Management’s 2012 “Excellence in Interpretation or Education” Awards                                                 DD: 07/31/2012

 

We invite you to nominate outstanding employees for the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) “Excellence in Interpretation or Education” Awards.  The awards will be presented by the Director or his representative at the Excellence in Interpretation Awards Ceremony, held during the National Association for Interpretation (NAI) National Workshop, November 13-17, 2012, in Hampton, Virginia.  The Division of Education, Interpretation, and Partnerships will pay both travel expenses and the National Workshop registration fee for the selected honorees.

 

The purpose of the awards program is to recognize accomplishments and contributions of BLM employees in the fields of interpretation or education during the past year and to stimulate and reward creative thinking and activity within the Bureau.  The National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and NAI will also recognize their top interpreters and educators at the ceremony. 

 

Nominations should be submitted by July 31, 2012, to BLM National Lead for Interpretation
