Subject:           Appointment of Bureau of Land Management Designated Representative to

                        The Wildlife and Hunting Heritage Conservation Council

 

The Director has appointed Mike Pool, Deputy Director, as his Designated Representative to the Wildlife and Hunting Heritage Conservation Council (WHHCC). I will serve as Mike’s backup.

 

As you are aware, the new Federal advisory council will help to promote and preserve America’s hunting heritage for future generations. The WHHCC will also provide a forum for sportsmen and women to advise the Federal government on policies related to wildlife and habitat conservation endeavors that benefit recreational hunting, wildlife resources, and access to Federal lands. It will encourage partnership among the public, the sporting conservation community, the shooting and sports industry, wildlife conservation organizations, the states, Native Americans tribes, and the Federal government. As a designated representative to the council, Mike will provide valuable input on all issues that the council may address.
