C. 20240 March 20, 2009 In Reply Refer To: 1610 (210) P EMS TRANSMISSION 03/25/2009 Information Bulletin No. 2009-056 To: All Field Office Officials From: Assistant Director, Renewable Resources and Planning Subject: Permanent Field Positions for Presidential Management Fellows DD: 04/17/2009 The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Division of Decision Support, Planning and NEPA (WO-210) currently have several Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) working in the Washington Office. The Presidential Management Fellowship program is a highly competitive, government-wide professional development program designed to prepare individuals for management careers within the Federal government. Individuals hired through the PMF program are highly skilled recent graduates of a variety of master's and doctoral-level programs. Fellows receive an initial two-year full-time excepted service appointment, after which they are eligible for non-competitive conversion to a permanent Federal government position. (For more information see the PMF program website at www.pmf.opm.gov) The purpose of this Information Bulletin is to inform offices about the opportunity to hire PMFs non-competitively for vacant or opening positions. The following two BLM Washington Office PMFs are currently seeking permanent positions in a Field, District or State Office: (1) Megan Stouffer interested in Planning and Environmental Coordinator positions; and (2) Frank Quamen, interested in Wildlife Biologist or Conservation Biologist positions.
