Subject: Distribution of “Safety Is Your First Priority” – Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Safety Video
Attached is a copy of “Safety Is Your First Priority” a video on UXO on public lands. Please distribute this video to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) employees responsible for environmental, health and safety training in your office. This video can be used as a training tool for the proper precautions BLM employees should take to help improve their safety while on the BLM public lands with known or suspected UXO.
The purpose of the video is intended to make BLM managers and staff on public lands aware of the dangers of UXO and is especially intended to inform Fire Fighters, Law Enforcement personnel, and Hazmat Coordinators of UXO risks and safety requirements when operating near hazardous areas.
“Safety Is Your First Priority” video should be incorporated into existing environmental, health and safety training. The video running time is 17 minutes.
