EMS TRANSMISSION 12/19/2006 Information Bulletin No. 2007-022 To: State Directors, Center Directors, Assistant Directors From: Assistant Director, Renewable Resources and Planning Subject: Geospatial and Resource Management Tools Training 2007 The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Oregon State Office in collaboration with the U.S. Forest Service (FS) Pacific Northwest Region and the BLM Washington Office Renewable Resources and Planning Directorate, are pleased to announce the Geospatial and Resource Management Tools Training 2007. The five day training opportunity will take place the week of May 7-11, 2007, in Portland, Oregon. The theme of this year’s collaborative training session is Building Bridges to Information Sharing. The objectives of the training sessions are:
I encourage the participation of your staff in these collaborative training sessions. This will be the second BLM and FS co-sponsored geospatial technology training. The initial effort, held in Phoenix in April, 2005 was very successful as an opportunity for personnel from our agencies and partners to interact. The call for papers, registration, program, and hotel information will follow.
