Oil & Gas Statistics

Federal agencies compile a large amount of statistical information relating to oil and gas leasing on public lands.  Below are links to charts and spreadsheets with data on Federal oil and gas leases, applications for permits to drill, wells, production, and revenue by Fiscal Year. All the charts are in PDF format.

The Office of Natural Resources Revenue (ONRR) maintains statistical data for Federal onshore sales volumes and reported royalty revenues. To visit the ONRR statistics website click here .

Note: These statistics include all public lands in the United States, except for tribal lands.
