National Public Lands Day 2000

BLM'ers Win NPLD Photo Contests

In December, the National Environmental Education & Training Foundation announced the selection of twoPhoto of Utah's Sids Mountain by Jerry Sintz BLM employees as winners of two National Public Lands Day 2000 photography contests.

Jerry Sintz of the BLM Utah State Office took top honors in the NPLD "agency personnel" contest, which made his photo eligible for use as the NPLD 2001 art poster photo. Though Jerry's beautiful image of a lone person in Utah's Sids Mountain Wilderness Study Area (right) was not ultimately chosen for the next poster, it will be used in national promotional materials for NPLD 2001.
