September Featured Event:

NATIONAL PUBLIC LANDS DAY

Since 1994, National Public Lands Day has increasingly demonstrated Americans' concern for their public lands. The first event was sponsored by BLM and two other federal agencies and attracted 700 volunteers to three sites. Last year, nine federal agencies and dozens of state and local partners supported the efforts of some 70,000 volunteers at 426 sites. More than 100 BLM sites will be participating this year. NPLD is coordinated by the National Environmental Education Training Foundation and has additional information at www.npld.com.
