What To See And Do: Your visit to Jurassic Utah begins at Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry! A juvenile-sized Allosaurus fragilis mount grins at you as you round the corner into the main body of the visitor center. Dinosaur bones and replicas are all over the place. An eight foot tall Camarasaurus lentus leg replica is propped against a pillar holding up the roof. A glass case holds more bones, gastroliths, and some vicious looking teeth. A map covers most of the wall between two window casements. Thousands of bones are depicted in it. The opposite wall has a colorful mural of life and death 147 million years before us. Outside of the visitor center you can visit the active quarry and take an easy hike to see dinosaur bones in the rock!
How To Get There: The quarry is located in the northern part of the San Rafael Swell, 32 miles south of Price. From Price, take Hwy 10 south to the Cleveland/Elmo turnoff and follow the signs. The last 12 miles are on graded unpaved road.
From Huntington follow Hwy 10 north and take the Cleveland turnoff. In Cleveland go south towards the San Rafael Swell and follow the signs. The last 13 miles are on graded unpaved road. The unpaved roads may be hazardous when wet.
