Wind Farm and Transmission Line Proposal in Central UtahWind Turbine

BLM Utah has one application filed for wind power development and a transmission line. Milford Wind Corridor I, LLC has proposed construction of a wind farm north and east of Milford, Utah, in northern Beaver County. The 90-mile transmission line would go from the site through Millard County to the IPP Substation north of Delta, Utah.

BLM is currently conducting an Environmental Impact Statement for Phase I of the Milford Wind project, expected to be completed in December 2007. A potential Phase II of about the same capacity as Phase I is likely, however, specifics are not yet known. More information on the project can be obtained through Mike DeKeyrel, Realty Specialist (801) 539-4105.
