BLM Vernal Field Office Youth Coordinator Named


Vernal, Utah—The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Vernal Field Office (VFO) announces that Tyler Cox, Natural Resource Specialist, has accepted an additional duty as Youth Coordinator. 
 
The BLM Utah’s Youth Program has a mission to connect a diverse pool of youth to multiple use land management through environmental education, project-based work experience, and recruitment and retention programs.
 
The VFO Youth Coordinator will work with kindergarten through college level youth to provide environmental education, and encourage youth and their families to move outdoors and visit recreation sites within the Vernal Field Office. The coordinator can provide career day presentations, assist with presentations for science-based curriculum and encourage youth to seek public land career opportunities.

This land, known as the National System of Public Lands, is primarily located in 12 Western states, including Alaska.
