Simpson Springs Recreation Area Reopens Following Wildfire


 

Salt Lake City—The Simpson Springs Recreation Area has reopened following a temporary closure.  The temporary closure was issued on July 22, 2014 to minimize risks to public health and safety due to the Simpson Complex wildfire in the Simpson Springs area. The Simpson Complex fire is now controlled and the recreation area is open.

The BLM manages more than 245 million acres of public land, the most of any Federal agency.
