February 2014 Oil and Gas Lease Sale Rescheduled

Moab, Utah—The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Utah Canyon Country District announced that the oil and gas lease sale planned for Feb. 18, 2014, has been rescheduled for March 25, 2014. The postponement will provide the time needed to conduct additional environmental analysis.

Based on the new sale date, the BLM expects to release the draft environmental assessment (EA) analyzing a proposal to offer in the Monticello and Moab Field Offices on Oct. 25, 2013. The EA will then be available for public review and comment for a period of 30 days.
