Description: This popular trail is used to create loops in conjunction with other trails in the Paradise Canyon area. It is a dirt singletrack* that parallels Halfway Wash, a heavily vegetated riparian area rich in wildlife.
Loop 1: For a 4 mile loop start on Chuckwalla and continue to Turtle Wall. Turn left onto Turtle Wall, left onto Paradise Rim, left onto Halfway Wash, right onto Turtle Wall, and right onto Chuckwalla, which will return to the Chuckwalla Trailhead.
Loop 2: For a 2.5 mile loop, take the Gap to Paradise Rim. Turn right onto Paradise Rim, left Halfway Wash, left onto Turtle Wall, left onto Paradise Rim, and right onto Gecko, and right onto Gap, which will return to the Gap Trailhead.
*It used to be a singletrack, but heavy use by all non-motorized users has significantly increased its width to a two-track. Please respect this quality habitat area, stay on the designated trail, and avoid expanding its ever widening footprint.
