Description: From Sand Cove Trailhead take the Flicker Trail for just over .2 miles until it intersects with a dirt road. Turn right and follow the dirt road for .4 miles to the Sandstone Mountain Primitive Camping area. Look for the trail sign that marks the beginning of the trail.
The Arch Trail leads to the Babylon Arch (.5 miles) and the Virgin River (l mile). The first .3 mile winds through a rocky drainage with interesting red sandstone hoodoos and pinnacles. The last .2 miles to the Babylon Arch alternate between rock and sand. Between the Arch and the Virgin River the trail is sandy (sometimes hard-packed, sometimes not.) The Virgin River Trail intersects the end of the Arch Trail.
