Access: From I-15 Exit 16 travel west on State Route 9 for 9.2 miles. Turn left on 200 West for 0.6 miles. Turn left at 600 North and travel 0.5 miles. Park in the large disturbed area on the right, making sure not to block vehicle access on the numerous roads through the site. This parking area is on private property and subject to closure at any time.
Description: The 600 North Trail follows the fence line along 600 North Road. 600 North is an old quarry pit road leading to one of the two prominent cinder cones in the area, the west one.
Loop: For a 2.8 mile loop, follow the old road bed east for .4 miles. As the trail turns north, it becomes
West Cinder Knoll Trail. Turn left at 0.3 miles and follow the old road bed around the west cinder knoll. After circumnavigating the cinder knoll, return to the trailhead following the same route.
