Mountain Bike Trails

Mountain biking in Southwest Utah can range from a smooth and easy out-and-back cruise on the Bear Claw Poppy Trail, to an after work spin on Barrel Roll, to the experts-only, double-black diamond terrain on Gooseberry Mesa. Please stay on trails and follow the IMBA Rules of Responsible Riding. Mountain bikes are restricted to designated trails in the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve and the Santa Clara River Reserve.

Our desert environment can be pleasant in the popular spring and fall months, tolerable in the winter, and brutally hot in the summer. Riders should carry water, food, clothing and tools and be prepared for changing weather, riding conditions and accidents. Many trails travel through remote country, but cell phone coverage is generally good throughout the area. Please Know Before You Go.

A comprehensive list of mountain biking trails with complete trail descriptions can be found in the Mountain Bike Trails List.
