BLM Special Areas within the Salt Lake Field Office include the following:

• DESIGNATED WILDERNESS
• WILDERNESS STUDY AREAS (WSA)
• AREAS OF CRITICAL ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN (ACEC)

To aid in the management of the public lands, we ask that you follow proper land use etiquette such as Tread Lightly! and Leave No Trace.  A few examples of these principles are the proper disposal of human waste, packing out litter, and ensuring any livestock feed used or transported across public lands is certified weed-free. 

The BLM offers a reward of up to $250 for information leading to the arrest or conviction of any person(s) violating off-road vehicle use regulations or damaging BLM signs within the Salt Lake Field Office. Call 801-977-4300 to report violations.
