Pink Cliffs

The Pink Cliffs area is a vertically upturned sedimentary rock formation located on the slopes of Mount Hillers, at the south end of the Henry Mountain Range. The area is an outstanding example for geologic study and its coloration pattern of pinks, and whites is exceptionally scenic. The area is easily accessible and dramatically illustrates the geologic forces that formed the Henry Mountains. There are also excellent scenic vistas of the Little Rockies, Mount Hillers, Mount Pennell, and views of Lake Powell.

To get there, drive south from Hanksville on UT Highway 95,
then southwest on UT Highway 276 towards the Lake Powell Marina at Bullfrog. After  a few miles, turn north on a well maintained dirt road and follow the signs towards Starr Springs Campground. The Pink Cliffs are readily visible on the side of Mount Hillers
