An abundance of recreational activities await visitors to the Monticello Field Office area. These activities include camping, backpacking and hiking, off highway vehicles use, whitewater boating, horseback riding, bird watching or driving our scenic byways. The Monticello Field Office area contains some of the most spectacular landscapes in the United States. These areas include San Juan River, Cedar Mesa and Grand Gulch along with Valley of the Gods and Dark Canyon Primitive Area.
