King's Bottom Camping Area

In the fall of 2008 the BLM and partners worked together to remove non-native Tamarisk and Russian Olive trees.  Once the non-native vegetation was removed the BLM redesigned, re-contoured and reconstructed the campsites. You will now find native cottonwood and willow trees throughout the campground and improved views of the Colorado River. These hearty and native trees are temporarily being irrigated to encourage growth and development. Please do not disturb the new vegetation or any black irrigation tubing. If you have any questions please contact the office.

Kings Bottom camping area is located 3 miles from the junction of Highway 191, and is suitable for tent camping.  Campsites are available on a first-come, first served basis.

Fee: $8.00 per vehicle           Number of sites: 7           Toilets: Yes
