How to Get There: The Lone Mesa Group Campsites are located approximately 17 miles northwest of Moab, Utah. Drive nine miles north of Moab on Highway 191 to the intersection with Highway 313. If you are coming from the north, the Highway 313 intersection is approximately 20 miles south of I-70. Turn west on Highway 313 and continue eight miles, then turn right on the Dubinky Road, a graded road (it has a stop sign), and go approximately 200 yards to the entrance of the Lone Mesa Campground. Turn right and proceed up a small hill to the site.
Fees: The fee for group camping is $4.00 per person per night, plus a $20.00 reservation fee. You must pay for the minimumn number listed for your site. There will be a $20.00 fee each time you change the place or date of your reservation, but any changes to the number of people in the group can be made without incurring this charge. All fees are nonrefundable.
Area Attractions: The Lone Mesa Group Campground is located on Highway 313, a Utah Scenic Byway. This highway is the access road to Dead Horse Point State Park and to the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands National Park. Park visitor centers can provide information on attractions at each site. Highway 313 provides access to the Gemini Bridges Road and the Dubinky Well Road, which in turn provide access to a network of designated dirt routes for your exploration. These routes are not marked, so carry a map, and always stay on the designated routes. Preserve the scenery for everyone else to enjoy by not leaving tracks.
