How to Get There: The Goose Island Recreation Site is located on Utah Highway 128, two miles upstream of the junction of Utah Highway 128 and U.S. Highway 191. You will see the Goose Island Recreation Site sign at the campground entrance.
Facilities: There are two group campsites at Goose Island. Each group campsite has picnic tables, a fire grill, and a fire ring. Vault toilets are located near each site. Each site accommodates multiple tents, and Site A has a large raised tent pad. A large trash dumpster is available. Drinking water is not available at the sites, however it is available at Lions Park, which is at the intersection of Highways 191 and 128 two miles north of Moab. The water is located by the pedestrian bridge dedication plaque. Goose Island is located directly across the Colorado River from Arches National Park. Large cliffs across from the campground provide early afternoon shade to the sites.
Site Size: Group Site A accommodate from 15 to 25 people. Group Site B holds from 20 to 40 people. Each site has parking for approximately five vehicles.
Fees: The fee for group camping is $3.00 per person per night. There is a $15.00 reservation fee. Any changes to the location or date of a group site reservation will require an additional $15.00 fee. You must pay for the minimum number of people listed for the site you are reserving.
