How to Get There: The Big Bend Recreation Site is located on Utah Highway 128, 8 miles east of the junction of Utah Highway 128 and U.S. Highway 191. When you reach the Big Bend Recreation Site, Group Sites A and B are on the river side of Highway 128 while Site C is across this highway. Facilities: There are three group campsites at Big Bend Recreation Site. Each group campsite has picnic tables, a fire grill, and a fire ring. Vault toilets are located near each site. Sites A and B are located near the Colorado River, and have accessible facilities. Site C is located across the road from the rest of the Recreation Site, in its own canyon setting. Each of the sites has a large shade shelter, and each accommodates multiple tents. A large trash dumpster is located near the group sites. The Recreation Site includes a sandy beach for volleyball and sunbathing. Drinking water is not available at the sites, however it is available at Lions Park, which is at the intersection of Highways 191 and 128 two miles north of Moab. The water is located by the pedestrian bridge dedication plaque. For more information or for reservations, please call the Moab Field Office at (435) 259-2100. Updated calendars of available dates |
