BLM Moab Field Office Moves to Recreation.gov for Group Campsite Reservations
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Utah Moab Field Office has transferred its group site reservation function to recreation.gov. This means that people who wish to make group site reservations may do so on-line at recreation.gov for up to a year in advance of their desired reservation date.
Reservations are available for the group sites at Goose Island, Big Bend, Onion Creek, Dewey Bridge, Lone Mesa, Horsethief, Ledge, Ken’s Lake and Windwhistle campgrounds. A minimum number of people are necessary to reserve a group site; this minimum number varies by site. Please note that the more than 400 individual campsites remain available on a first-come, first-served basis only.
Recreation.gov began taking reservations for the group campsites on December 9, 2015 at 10 AM EST (8 AM MDT). Group site availability will be on a “rolling” schedule, which means that reservations for March 27, 2017 will be available on March 27, 2016.
