Route: Fiftymile Bench 

Distance: About 15 miles one way 

Description: Follows the Straight Cliffs high above the desert floor, with vistas of the Escalante Canyons, Henry Mountains, and Glen Canyon. 

Directions: From Escalante, drive southeast on Highway 12 to the Hole-in-the-Rock Road (#200). Turn right and drive south 34.2 miles to Willow Tank Slide Road (#260). Turn onto Willow Tank Slide Road (#260). This route heads up Willow Tank Slide to Fiftymile Bench Road (#290), goes south along the bench, and descends Sooner Slide Road (#280), back to Hole-in-the-Rock Road (#200). Return along the same route. You must trailer ATVs down Hole-in-the-Rock Road and park at the Hurricane Trailhead, 0.25 miles north of the Hole-in-the-Rock / Willow Tank Slide Road junction.
