Three Peaks Recreation Area

Three Peaks Recreation area is "a microcosm which represents the BLM's true mission of multiple use," said Wade Judy, former Recreation Planner for the Cedar City Field Office.

Located about 9 miles Northwest of Cedar City, the 6,500 acre Three Peaks area makes for a perfect weekend escape for outdoor recreationalists as the region is conducive to a diverse range of activities from the radio controlled flying field to area's endless miles of mountain bike and OHV trails as well as opportunity for equestrian travel cross country.

Three Peaks is managed in a cooperative project with Iron County. Iron County manages the 155 acres of the R&PP within the recreation area and the shooting range. Campsites include cement pads, fire rings and covered picnic areas. These improved campsites create an ideal "base camp" for users looking for an extended stay to enjoy participating in a whole host of activities.
