BLM Recreation & Public Purposes lease and patent brings practical & recreational benefits to the town of Kanarraville, Utah
On Wednesday May 7, 2008 Utah BLM Director Selma Sierra traveled to the town of Kanarraville, Utah to present the community with an Recreational and Public Purposes or R&PP lease and patent. Kanarraville Mayor Galen Allred received the R&PP patent and lease on the behalf of the community of Kanarraville. Of the land transfered, roughly seven acres will be used for a ball field and two acres will be used as a transfer site. As part of the agreement, the town of Kanarraville, partnering with BLM & DWR will enhance 17 acres of crucial deer winter range.
