Lineage: Process_Step: Process_Description: Source of ownership data comes from Bureau of Land Management master title plats (MTPs). Using MTPs as a reference ownership lines and attributes were drafted onto mylars of with public land survey (PLS) and digitized. All of the current ownership coverages where snapped to Geographic Coordinate Database (GCDB) where available. The ownership coverages are updated as information is received from the field offices. Updates usually come from users who discover errors or outdated information. Because our focus is mainly on BLM lands, land exchanges made by the Park Service and Forest Service may not show up on our coverages for some time. The coverage was clipped to the Rawlins Field Office boundary the field office mapping needs.
